Globe President & CEO announced as 2009 Business Leader
Frank J Coles awarded as 2009 Business Leader
Today, Frank J. Coles, President and CEO of Globe Wireless was announced by Spacecoast Business magazine as one of the business leaders in the year 2009.
In addition to revenue growth of over 30% in 2009, Globe Wireless achieved several significant milestones including the launch of GlobeMobile, the company’s innovative shipboard GSM service, completing a number of significant new partnerships to strengthen Globe’s position as a top tier satellite airtime provider. In the midst of this growth, the company also achieved the very prestigious ISO 9001-2008 certification.
Mr. Coles stated that “Against the backdrop of recession and other severe cutbacks, the continued growth and expansion of Globe Wireless throughout the year has given me personal satisfaction and meant employee security, business stability, and a promising future for the company.” Mr. Coles continued, “I see this as more of an award for Globe Wireless and its dedicated employees than for me personally. It’s the leader that drives the employees, but it’s the employees who drive the company through to success.”
Mr. Coles has high expectations for the year 2010 to continue to lead and drive the company in the field of international maritime communications and information technology services.
